WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF HAIR LOSS?
There are many
myths and fables about why men and women lose their hair.
One of the most popular scapegoats has been hats. "I lost my
hair because I've worn a hat as long as I can remember."
Unfortunately, it's not true nor is it that easy to place
the blame.
Some people
lose their hair as a result of stress or an injury. Some
because of medication or diet, while many attribute hair
loss solely to heredity.

TOPICAL HAIR LOSS TREATMENTS
Minoxidil has
been called the "Miracle Drug" of hair growth. In fact, some
articles claim it is the only proven way to grow hair.
There are a few
things you should know about this "Miracle Drug":
Minoxidil has
many side effects that include severe scalp irritation,
severe indigestion, pain in arms, shoulders and chest,
blurred vision, feeling light headed and swelling.
HAIR SYSTEMS
Everyone has
seen a bad wig or toupee. Some are so obvious you can spot
them a mile away. The good news, however, is that not all
toupees or hair pieces are bad. You can actually purchase a
reasonably "undetectable" hairpiece.
HAIR REPLACEMENT MICRO GRAFTING
This surgical
procedure is the most advanced form of transplant. A row of
hair bearing skin is taken from the donor area leaving
behind a very thin hairline scar - which is easily covered
by your own hair. The row of hair bearing skin is then cut
into mini micro grafts. These grafts are then placed into
small incisions which have been made in the balding area.
ABOUT ELDORADO HAIR LOSS HAIR REPLACEMENT SYSTEMS
It is difficult
to determine which system would work best for you without
the benefit of seeing your hairline, your scalp, your
desired hairstyle, etc. It is like a doctor trying to
diagnose a patient over the phone without the benefit of
blood tests, pulse rate, temperature or observation of
symptoms.
For your
benefit, we have listed some of our systems and their
descriptions so you have a basic understanding of our
processes:
A. Integration
A web like
hair system in which your own hair is pulled through
openings to give you volume and density. These systems are
only for people who have some hair and require density or
length.
B. Lace
A fine netting
that has an incredibly natural hairline. This is for people
who have little or no hair in front.
C. Thin Skin
A thin membrane
into which hair is finely inserted. This allows individuals
to expose their scalp.
D. Fine Mono
An ultra fine
net which is durable and can be used with human hair or
synthetic fiber. The variations of this design are so
numerous it would be impossible to list all of them.
D. Full Cranial
A system which
covers the entire head.
ATTACHMENT METHODS
Bonding
There are
dozens of adhesives on the market. Bonding refers to
permanent attachment where the system is worn for 3 to 7
weeks, depending on your hair growth rate, oiliness,
adhesive compatibility and application protocol.
Daily Wear
These systems
are removable and employ adhesive, double-sided tape or
clips.
Extended Daily Wear
These systems
are removable but allow the wearer to remove the unit after
3 to 14 days. Clips
are not recommended here as they may pull hair out.
Fusion / Track / Point Bond
Methods of
permanent attachment which allow the wearer 3 or more weeks
without returning for maintenance.
Note:
Attachment method is a lifestyle choice and should be a
separate consideration of hair system choice. Have the
system and attachment methods explained thoroughly to you.
